Biography & Training

I am a board-certified Naturopathic Physician and Licensed Acupuncturist.  I completed my training in 2017 at the oldest accredited Naturopathic medical school in the country, the National University of Natural Medicine.  Following seven years of medical school in the combined Naturopathic and Classical Chinese medicine programs, I also completed a clinical residency at Kwan Yin Healing Arts Center under the supervision of Dr. Gibran Ramos, ND, LAc, and David Berkshire, LAc, which focused on holistic Primary Care, complex chronic illness, endocrinology, Biotherapeutic drainage and Five-Element acupuncture. I love to work with patients of all ages, and have a specific focus in chronic illness, autoimmune disease, fertility, pregnancy and postpartum care, hormonal and digestive health, and LGBTQ+/Gender affirming care.

In addition to my coursework at NUNM, I also completed a 2-year training in Constitutional Homeopathy through the New England School of Homeopathy (NESH), as well as continued post-graduate training in the French homeopathic system of Biotherapeutic Drainage.  Both of these systems use gentle, energetic medicine to address the underlying cause of disease, treat the whole person, and restore the vital force to the mind, body and spirit.  These medicines can be used with any person in any circumstance, and I have found them to be a particularly powerful and indispensable part of my practice as well as my own wellness journey.

I am also trained in several forms of gentle, intuitive bodywork. I am a practitioner of the Arvigo Techniques of Maya Abdominal Therapy®, as well as Tami Kent’s Holistic Pelvic Care™.  I use these bodywork methods, along with other natural treatments, to help restore function in the pelvic bowl, achieve optimal fertility, support pregnant and postpartum bodies, and relieve pain.  They can be used for a wide range of conditions including pelvic pain, menstrual disorders, hormonal disregulation, uterine prolapse, incontinence, digestive disorders and sexual dysfunction.

I have also completed post-graduate training in Worsley Five-Element Acupuncture .  Five-Element Acupuncture is a holistic system based on the ancient Chinese recognition that humans are reflections of nature, and that we all have the energies of fire, earth, metal, water and wood within ourselves.  By identifying and treating disharmonies or imbalances of these elements within our bodies, we are able to restore health and vitality and reach greater spiritual fulfillment. Utilizing this framework that our bodies mirror natural rhythms and processes has been invaluable to my practice as a whole and informs the way I think of every human that presents to me.
